What does dental treatment in Vietnam cost?
The useful starting point is a dated clinic price list with an identifiable treatment unit. “An implant” might mean the titanium fixture alone or a complete replacement including the connecting abutment and crown. A full-arch price usually describes one jaw, not both. A veneer is priced per tooth; a smile package may cover a particular number of teeth and exclude preparatory care.
Our Vietnam Dental Cost Index records selected published fees, their sources and exclusions. It is a small, transparent sample, not a national average or a list of endorsed clinics. Elite Dental’s published complete single-implant range is VND 30–46 million; its All-on-4 and All-on-6 starting figures are VND 210 million and VND 250 million per arch. Yendental publishes veneer estimates of US$310–400 and zirconia crown estimates of US$195–600 per tooth. These figures were checked on 24 September 2026. They do not establish your final treatment cost.
Use the cost comparison to view a supported home-market comparison. Keep the source notes open when comparing: a promotional figure, a starting price and a clinic’s average are different kinds of evidence. The lower advertised fee can help shortlist options, but the written treatment proposal should decide whether the comparison is meaningful.
Which treatment are you actually researching?
| Starting concern | Guide to read | Decision to clarify |
|---|---|---|
| One or more missing teeth | Dental implants | Complete restoration, alternatives and staged visits |
| Many missing teeth in one jaw | All-on-4 and All-on-6 | Whether fixed full-arch treatment is appropriate |
| Shape, colour or spacing of visible teeth | Veneers | Preparation, alternatives and number of teeth |
| A damaged or heavily restored tooth | Crowns | What remains of the tooth and how to preserve it |
A treatment name is a research topic, not a diagnosis. You can enter “not sure” in your plan. If two clinics suggest materially different procedures, ask why before comparing totals. Twenty crowns and twenty veneers should not be treated as interchangeable smile packages simply because the photographs look similar.
Why consider Vietnam beyond the headline price?
Vietnam offers three quite different city settings for a planned stay: Hanoi’s historic streets and cultural sights, Da Nang’s coastal environment, and Ho Chi Minh City’s energetic urban life. For someone already travelling to Vietnam, the additional travel cost may be lower than for someone making a separate trip. For a larger treatment plan, published fees can leave more room to investigate materials, professional assessment and follow-up arrangements.
Those are reasons to explore the option, not evidence that every clinic delivers the same standard. The advantage becomes practical only when a named treating team, a clear treatment scope, a realistic schedule and an affordable return plan fit together. A pleasant hotel, modern reception area or familiar implant logo does not independently establish clinical quality.
Our city comparison helps choose a travel base. Begin with a suitable treating team and appointment schedule, then select a neighbourhood and holiday activities. There is no city that is automatically best for every patient or procedure.
How does the customer journey work?
| Stage | What you can do | What should remain open |
|---|---|---|
| Research | Read procedure guides and record existing recommendations | Diagnosis and suitability |
| Compare | Check dated fees, units, materials and exclusions | Final personal price |
| Plan | Save your home market, interests and possible timing | Non-refundable flights and deposits |
| Professional review | Share relevant records with consent and discuss options | Changes after examination or imaging |
| Written proposal | Confirm named clinician, stages, costs and follow-up | Any unresolved clinical or contractual question |
| Treatment and return | Follow your treating team’s instructions and retain records | Ongoing care arrangements and possible extra visits |
DentalTourism.asia is an independent planning platform, not the clinic performing treatment. A human advisor can help organize information and coordinate professional review. We may receive fees from partner clinics. That relationship should be understood alongside your own evaluation of the provider.
How long should you stay?
The right question is not simply how many hotel nights to reserve. Ask how many treatment stages are proposed, which appointments happen during each visit and what could delay the next stage. Implant treatment can involve healing between surgery and the final restoration. Receiving temporary teeth does not necessarily mean the complete treatment is finished.
For laboratory-made restorations, ask about assessment, preparation, production, fitting, adjustments and review. A short advertised timetable is not a promise that every person will be ready to leave on that day. The length-of-stay guide separates time in Vietnam from total treatment duration, while the itinerary guide shows how to keep sightseeing flexible.
What belongs in the total budget?
Start with an itemized treatment proposal. Add travel for every planned visit, accommodation, transfers, a companion if needed, time away from work and local follow-up. Keep any unresolved item visible rather than assuming it costs zero. Ask who pays if the stay is extended, a flight changes or additional care is needed.
A treatment-fee difference is not the same as personal savings. A small procedure can become more expensive once travel is added. Someone already visiting Vietnam has a different calculation from someone making a dedicated long-haul journey. Our travel budget guide explains how to keep those situations separate.
The platform’s advertised flight benefit is up to US$200 equivalent for qualifying completed treatment, subject to the published program terms. It is not a clinic discount or automatic cash payment. Read the flight benefit conditions and do not subtract it from a budget before eligibility is confirmed.
What should you verify about the clinic?
Ask for the treating dentist’s identity and professional registration, the location where treatment will take place, the proposed materials and the written process for unexpected changes. Confirm the language used for clinical consent, not just for the first sales conversation. Keep the proposal, payment terms and aftercare instructions together.
The clinic selection checklist turns these into concrete questions. Avoid choosing on a claimed success rate, generic accreditation graphic or large number of reviews without checking what the claim covers. We do not publish invented patient stories, clinic rankings or reviewer credentials.
What happens after you go home?
Plan this before paying. Obtain your treatment summary, relevant images, implant identification where applicable, restoration details and contact instructions. Ask a dentist at home about ongoing care and availability; do not assume another clinic has accepted responsibility simply because it can see the same implant brand.
Clarify the difference between routine maintenance, treatment of a complication and a contractual warranty. A promise to repair a restoration may exclude flights, accommodation, local emergency care or particular causes of damage. Our aftercare and warranty guides address those separate questions.
Start with the country you are travelling from
The route, home-currency quote and arrangements after your return change the decision. Our market guides cover Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada, the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Read the one that matches where you receive ongoing care, rather than choosing a price comparison solely by nationality. Each guide identifies the available local evidence and any gaps in comparable fees.
Who may decide against travelling?
A dedicated trip may be a poor fit if the treatment is small, the total difference is marginal, timing cannot be changed or dependable follow-up is unavailable. Existing health concerns or an urgent dental problem may require assessment at home first. The answer can also change after an examination: a simpler local option may meet your needs.
You do not need to settle every question to build a private Vietnam dental plan. Start with what you know, record what is uncertain and use the plan to prepare a better conversation with a qualified professional. Research is useful even when the eventual decision is to stay close to home.
Sources and evidence limits
Clinic price lists describe the selected provider’s published fees, not national averages, endorsements or your final quote. Professional sources support general background; forum posts are unverified anecdotes.
