Vietnam Dental Cost Index: published fees and what the sample cannot tell us

The Vietnam Dental Cost Index currently documents selected publicly advertised clinic fees, their units, inclusions and verification dates. It is an evidence register, not a statistically representative national or city average. Its purpose is to make price research reproducible and to provide a foundation for approved, comparable partner data as verified supply grows.

What is in the current sample?

The Vietnam sample contains five treatment observations from two public clinic sources: Elite Dental for single implants and full-arch options, and Yendental for veneers and zirconia crowns. The source check is dated 24 September 2026. A source’s inclusion does not establish a partnership, independent clinical audit or endorsement.

Published fees checked: 2026-09-24. Selected clinic records, not national averages; travel excluded.

Full-arch observations are starting figures, so an equal lower and upper stored value is not a price cap. Veneer and crown observations are clinic-published estimate ranges. Each kind of price retains its own meaning.

Why is this not a national average?

The sample is too small and selectively sourced to describe every Vietnam clinic or patient. It does not establish city-level distributions, typical treatment days or average outcomes. Different materials and clinical scopes would also require careful normalization before aggregation.

We do not label a Ho Chi Minh City provider’s price as a Hanoi or Da Nang average. We do not infer a fee for a missing procedure or source market. An unavailable comparison means the required evidence has not been established.

How are comparisons calculated?

First match the treatment, unit and currency. Preserve whether the source describes a starting price, estimate, promotion or clinic average. Use the dated currency snapshot for research conversion and retain the original amount. Payment rates and fees can differ.

The marketing comparison displays the lower source points on the same scale, with the full evidence available. A computed difference is withheld when restoration scope is too uncertain. A range comparison and a starting-price comparison answer different questions; neither is a personal savings forecast.

The methodology and calculator expose the underlying notes. Travel, additional treatment and care after returning home are outside the treatment-only comparison.

What will approved partner data need to contain?

FieldPurpose
Provider and permission recordEstablish the right to publish the information
City and treatmentSupport a meaningful local grouping
Material and restoration scopeAvoid mixing unlike care
Unit and number of unitsDistinguish a tooth, implant, arch and case
Currency and fee rangePreserve the original commercial meaning
Included visits and proposed daysDescribe the provider’s plan without a universal guarantee
Verification and expiry datesIdentify stale records

Confidential clinic terms should not appear in public pages merely because they exist in an internal database. Only approved public information or appropriately permissioned aggregates belong in this index.

How are gaps and changes handled?

Missing evidence remains explicit. A source change should trigger review of affected comparisons, not an automatic change to every editorial date at deployment. A newly published provider fee should be checked for the same units and scope before it joins the sample.

Use the quote checklist to replace preliminary research with a personal proposal. The Vietnam planning guide explains how this price evidence fits into a broader decision about treatment, travel and follow-up.

Sources and evidence limits

Clinic price lists describe the selected provider’s published fees, not national averages, endorsements or your final quote. Professional sources support general background; forum posts are unverified anecdotes.
