What is the difference between one arch and full mouth?
One arch refers to the upper or lower jaw. “Full mouth” is often used informally and must be clarified in a proposal. Treating both jaws is a different scope from treating one, and the work required in each may differ.
| Planning scope | Starting-price arithmetic | Limitation |
|---|---|---|
| One arch | From VND 210 million | Selected provider and system |
| Two arches at that starting figure | From VND 420 million | Arithmetic only; two jaws need separate assessment |
Do not label the second row a clinic package unless a provider has actually offered that package in writing. The All-on-4 guide explains the restoration and the decisions behind it.
Why do package prices vary so much?
The largest ambiguity is often the restoration supplied. One fee may include a temporary bridge but not the final one. Another may include a final bridge with a different material. Implant systems, additional procedures and the number of appointments can also change the scope.
Ask each clinic to list the implants, abutments, temporary teeth if applicable, final bridge material, fitting and adjustments. Put conditional additional care on its own line. A complete-looking total is not comparable if its missing stages are hidden in a later payment.
How should international comparisons be displayed?
Use the same currency and one-arch unit, then check the bridge and inclusion details. When those details are uncertain, it is more honest to show the source prices without computing a saving. A precise percentage can conceal a difference between two treatments rather than reveal a price advantage.
Our cost comparison flags combinations with insufficient scope information. “From” remains visible because a minimum advertised figure cannot predict the final price for a particular patient.
Which travel costs can change the decision?
Ask whether the plan requires a later visit for the final restoration. Include flights and accommodation for every proposed visit, not just the surgical trip. Add any companion travel, time away and ongoing care at home. Keep a separate allowance for changes rather than expecting a warranty to pay every expense.
The advertised platform flight benefit is conditional and capped at the published program amount. It should not be used to disguise a missing second-trip budget. Read the program terms separately from the clinic proposal.
What should you resolve before a deposit?
Identify who is treating you, which jaw is included, what happens if immediate temporary teeth are unsuitable, when the final bridge is delivered and which payments are due at each stage. Ask what changes after examination can alter the proposal and what your options are if that happens.
Use the quote checklist, compare four versus six implants only with a clinical explanation, and keep the broader Vietnam plan focused on the complete course of care.
Sources and evidence limits
Clinic price lists describe the selected provider’s published fees, not national averages, endorsements or your final quote. Professional sources support general background; forum posts are unverified anecdotes.
